I think this marks the first year Justin and I have dressed up for Halloween since college. Justin was King Kong and I was Faye Wraye (the damsel-in-distress movie star). We celebrated with our family and some friends. Fun night!

wedding weekend!

It's been FOREVER since I posted - that's what happens when I start teaching again!

 Anyway, about mid-October Justin and I spent the weekend in Mt. Vernon, Washington celebrating the wedding of our close friends, Brandon and Ashley. Justin and Brandon were roommates every year at college, so Justin has known Brandon and Ash for awhile. Their wedding was BEAUTIFUL and a big reunion for Justin - many of his friends from college were there and it was so fun to meet the guys that Justin talks about. We all stayed the night in a hotel following the wedding and had a great night reconnecting living our "college days" again. Congrats Brandon and Ash - we love you guys!

It's official. Justin and I have ridiculously cute nephews (Zachary, Kaden, Rylan) and a beautiful niece (Atalie). We are blessed to be able to spend so much time with them.

We've been blessed with such amazing friends! In August, Justin was asked to be the Best Man in his friend Blake's wedding. Justin and Blake have known eachother since 2nd grade and they've had many adventures, to say the least! Blake and Hawa were married on August 8th and had a beautiful reception at The Attic in Sumner. They live in Montana so we don't see them often, but we're grateful for the times we do!

Earlier in the month my good friend Taryn visited from England. We met in college and had a freakish amount of things in common -- they say the rest is history. She studied abroad in Scotland her senior year of college and met a boy with whom she fell madly in love with. Tom swept her off her feet and after graduation she moved to England to be with him and do grad school at St. Andrews. Weekend trips to Italy and Belgium are routine for her. That brat.
